I could say, "Spend Less!" and the article could be over. We all know that cutting monthly expenses requires us to spend less. It really is simple...spend less than you make and save the difference.That's a great motto to live by and should be the foundation to everyone's spending each month. But we all can't just live by a motto. We have to use strategies that will help us reach this goal of spending less than we make.
Since I am a teacher, I am given a full week off as a break in the middle of the spring. I have enjoyed this break in different ways each year. Most of the time I really enjoy my break, but there are those breaks that just stick out in my memory.These are the breaks that take us back to simpler times. Times with less stuff and less distractions. Times when we went outside and enjoyed the view. Times when we saved more and spent less.
This past November, my wife and I were lucky enough to welcome a little daughter into our family. She is a joy to our family and we have loved getting to watch her grow up, and love getting to see her personality develop every day.
In the middle of June, my wife and I got married on a beautiful and humid Texas day. After our wedding, we went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and celebrated with a week long vacation. A honeymoon is amazing, because it is a new marriage with a trip that let's you forget about everything.
I tend to be a wanderer. What does that mean? Well, I like to go and see things and not worry about time constraints. I like to not be stressed about rushing places and I can get distracted by new things or new experiences. My wife and I are very different in this regard, because she likes to get things done as fast as possible and I like lolly gag.
