The Importance of College Choice

The Importance of College Choice

I continue to hear that America has a student loan crisis. In all reality, it is a crisis. The student loan debt, in America, has now reached $1.3 trillion dollars, with millions of students in default or behind with payments. Some suggest that a way to relieve the student loan crisis is to make college free. Others believe that it would be best to spread the loan payments out over longer terms.

Sling TV Update: The Olympic & Big 12 Edition

Last November, my wife and I moved into our new house. Upon moving in, we discussed avoiding cable and just purchasing Netflix. This works really well and the only problem that we had was the fact that we are big football fans and would miss a lot of games. So, I began searching the internet for products and ways to be able to watch college football. I found Sling TV and have been using this service off and on for most of the year.

Pay for Professional Photos or Do It Yourself?

Pay for Professional Photos or Do It Yourself?

Growing up in Nebraska, there is huge trend every year for students to have professional photos taken for their senior year. These photos are called senior photos and my Mom took me to get these senior pictures in 2005. My Mom has since told me that she spent a fortune on my senior photos and the very next year spent even more on my sister's senior photos.

I always put on some music and let it play in the background as I work on these articles. I always change it up from classical, to country, to christian and many more styles. Three Reasons You Should Buy a Used Car

Three Reasons You Should Buy a Used Car

In this country, a new car can seem like a status symbol. Lot's of people can judge you based on the type of car that you drive. I work at a school and my students can be very vain. When they find out that I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, then some of them will give me a hard time. This doesn't last long, because they realize that it doesn't bother me and that I am proud to have a ten year old car. Plus, I respond with the fact that I have that car to save many and they really don't have a comeback for that. Most of my students believe that I am cheap. I would agree with that statement, but I prefer to call it frugal. Buying a used car instead of a new car can be very beneficial.
