The other day I was doing some light reading, by catching up on articles from other bloggers around the internet. During this website trip, I stumbled upon a great article from Chris at Keep Thrifty (Save Even More By Cutting the Other Cord - Your Antenna). It was a great article that made me question everything that I think about in terms of television.
Ever since I understood the meaning of Thanksgiving, it has become one of my favorite holidays. There is something special about spending time with family and remembering to be thankful for everything that the Lord has given us. One problem, I don't believe that we should keep our Thankfulness to just one day of the year.
Last Thanksgiving, I made a challenge to every reader to not let the little moments slip them by and enjoy their family. This Thanksgiving that message still rings load and clear, therefore, I am going repost the entire article below. If you read it last year...read it again.
Talk about a busy month! Not only is school in full motion, but we were quite the travelers in the month of September. There were five weekends in the month of September and we spent a portion of 4 out of 5 of them in a different city/state.
We are one month into our challenge. We got off to a great start, but stumbled towards the end of the month. With the threat of Hurricane Harvey, August may not have been the best month to begin a "Buy Nothing New" Challenge. Despite this threat towards the end of the month, we still did a pretty good job of keeping our purchases to used items very low.
